College students visit Howard Young Medical Center, Ascension Wisconsin

Twelve college students from the Northern Highland Area Health Education Center (AHEC) recently visited Howard Young Medical Center, part of Ascension Wisconsin. AHEC offers students educational enrichment opportunities, internships and academic programs to nurture and support interest in health careers.

Ascension associates at Howard Young provided Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training to the group, along with tours and discussion in various areas of the hospital, including Pharmacy and Ascension Wisconsin Spirit Medical Transport. Students also visited with a registered nurse anesthetist.
