Tom VanOsdol, MS, MBA, Senior Vice President, Ascension, and Ministry Market Executive, Ascension Florida, recently presented key findings from the Jacksonville Nonprofit Hospital Partnership’s Community Needs Assessment.
The report showed that lack of transportation, shortages of primary care physicians, and limited access to behavioral and mental health services disproportionately affect those most vulnerable, The Florida Times-Union reported.
“The findings … confirm for us the issues that we need to continue to address if we are to improve the health and well-being of our community. In particular, we know that we need to increase access to care for the most vulnerable,” he said.
