High-school students who are a part of the Upward Bound program at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis were able to receive two free suits from St. Vincent’s Success Wear as part of a career exploration workshop.
Success Wear, formerly Danny’s Closet of Hope, is a ministry of St. Vincent, part of Ascension Indiana, that provides professional attire to men looking for work. All clothing from Success Wear is donated from the community.
“This is our way of ensuring people have the tools they need for success,” Michelle Mitchell, who manages the program at St. Vincent, told RTV6 Indianapolis. “The cost of a suit can be $200 to $300, and we equip our facility here to look like a department store.”
