Varithena: Varithena microfoam is an alternative form of non-surgical venous ablation that can be performed in the office without the need for any anesthesia
Radiofrequency VNUS closure: a minimally invasive procedure that treats poor circulation of blood in the leg, a condition called venous reflux or insufficiency. Left untreated, varicose veins and other more serious vascular conditions may develop.
Sclerotherapy: an injection treatment used to eliminate spider veins and reticular veins. Sclerotherapy is a cosmetic vein procedure, and is not a covered benefit through your insurance provider.

Frequently asked questions about vein conditions
What are varicose veins?
Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins. When veins are working properly, they return blood to the heart for reoxygenation. In varicose veins, the valve fails, leaks or is damaged, causing some of your blood to flow away from the heart and pool in one or both legs. Signs of varicose veins may include bulging veins, itchy skin, swelling, heavy-feeling legs, and leg pain that can be burning and throbbing.
When should I be concerned about my varicose veins?
Talk to your doctor about your health concerns and how your leg symptoms may be affecting your work life and ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Severely distended varicose veins may lead to long-term mild swelling, blood clots, skin discoloration, and more serious skin and tissue problems, such as ulcers and hard-to-heal wounds.
What are spider veins?
Spider veins are the ones you see closer to the skin’s surface that may appear small, threadlike and wispy. They may appear red or purple in color; however, reticular veins or “feeder” veins may appear bluish-green and can have a marbled appearance. Spider veins and reticular veins are generally considered a cosmetic condition and usually not covered by insurance.
