The new President of Crittenton Hospital Medical Center, part of Ascension Michigan in Rochester, will be Margaret Dimond, an accomplished and well-respected healthcare leader with extensive experience in acute care, ambulatory and physician group organizations.
“Margaret is a perfect match for the Crittenton Hospital personality and potential,” said Gwen MacKenzie, Senior Vice President, Ascension Health/Michigan Ministry Market Executive.
Margaret most recently served as President and CEO of the Karmanos Cancer Hospital within the McLaren Health System. Previously, she was President and CEO of the McLaren Medical Group. She has held executive positions with Henry Ford Health System and the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Physician Practice Plan.
Margaret earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work, and has a master’s degree in public administration from University of Michigan and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Michigan State University.
Her first day at Crittenton will be May 1. She will immediately become a member of the Michigan Market Leadership Team, which includes the presidents of Borgess Health, Kalamazoo; mid-Michigan, including Grand Blanc, Saginaw, Standish and Tawas City; and St. John Providence, Detroit.
“We believe Margaret will be a valuable and strong addition to the Ascension Michigan leadership team,” said Patricia A. Maryland, Dr.PH, President, Healthcare Operations and Chief Operating Officer, Ascension Health.
