Ascension has released its first quarter financial statements of fiscal year 2017. With a priority on sustaining and growing the organization, Ascension is focused on strategic goals that create unique collaborative relationships, both inside and outside of the organization, to better provide personalized, compassionate care for all.

As we entered our new fiscal year for 2017, Ascension saw an increase in volume and revenue for the three months ended September 30, 2016, compared to the same period in the prior year primarily due to the addition of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Southeast Wisconsin facilities. Recurring operating margin remained steady at 3.0 percent, compared with a 3.2 percent recurring operating margin for the same period last year.

Our performance this quarter demonstrates our commitment to sustain and extend our services and work collaboratively across our national ministry to provide care for all, with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable.
