Early success by Ascension hospitals, doctors and clinics in the Veterans Choice Program is highlighted in a story by Modern Healthcare following the launch of the national campaign to raise awareness among veterans nationwide.
Begun in March, the campaign helps inform veterans on how to qualify for the program and where they can receive care outside of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs across Ascension.
To date, more than 1,600 veterans have received compassionate, personalized care at Ascension sites of care through the Veterans Choice Program.
Nick Ragone, Ascension Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, tells Modern Healthcare, “Ascension’s media campaign around veterans is its largest integrated campaign ever.”
Running in 21 markets with major hospitals, the campaign spans radio, television, web and print.
Participating in the Veterans Choice Program directly aligns Ascension actions with its Mission of helping those most in need. “We don’t think there is a more vulnerable population,” Nick said.
